Organize road shows for Asian fund managers and corporates, helping them meet asset owners in Europe and U.S. and to raise funds from a wide range of foreign investors.

Advise Insight Ltd.’s founder Allen T. Cheng, a veteran financial journalist and expert on China’s financial industry, is teaming up with Wendy Gallagher, founder of Invest Connections Ltd., a veteran financial industry executive with more than 30 years of experience in Europe and Asia. The two are teaming up to offer investor relations services to major Chinese and Asian fund managers and corporates, helping them to conduct road shows in major financial centers across Europe.
Over the past four to five years, there has been unprecedented change for UK and European pension asset owners; cost transformation, mergers, unfunded pensions, and a major focus on a need to increase returns. Public policy makers around Europe and the UK are now paying attention and this has forced pension asset owners, trustees, consultants and regulators on ways to fix these problems. Chief on their minds is the need to diversify their assets and holdings globally and particularly into Asia, and especially into China’s fast growing markets, for the sake of seeking higher returns.
Advise Insights and Invest Connections believe there has never been a better time to continue to tell the ‘China Story’ and to provide a platform for Chinese asset managers and corporations to use an ‘on the ground’ expert to guide their investor relations activities.
Background to Advise Insights and Invest Connections:
Based in Beijing, Advise Insight Ltd. foremost assist global investors in conducting due diligence and deep dive market research in the Greater China region. It also in recent years has began to expand into financial advisory services, helping global asset managers to find partners in the greater China region. Allen T. Cheng, a veteran financial journalist with more than 30 years of field experience in the U.S. and Asia, has worked for a number of global media companies, among them Time Warner Inc., Bloomberg LP, and Euromoney Institutional Investor Plc. Cheng was the Asia bureau chief of Institutional Investor Inc. from 2008 to 2018 and remains a consultant to various divisions of the Euromoney group.
Invest Connections has been in operation for 8 years providing access to Asian investors to the UK property makers and as an introducer to potential investment opportunities. More recently Invest Connections put a successful roadshow together for China Asset Management, this consisted of 2 days in London and a lunch and dinner presentation to 45 pension asset owners and other relevant investors and potential partners.
Wendy Gallagher has worked in financial media for 30 years, latterly as Asian Publisher for Institutional Investor magazine where she spent many years working with Allen Cheng in China. The past 8 years has been spent as the Director and Founder of Invest Connections Ltd providing introductions and investment opportunities and working on investor relations projects.
The Proposal:
AI and IC will work with Chinese asset managers and provide a structured and strategic investor relations platform in keeping with their protocol and required marketing requirements.
AI and IC with an office in Beijing and London will provide a highly personalised service to our clients.
Each roadshow will be tailored to each asset managers required client requirements.

3-day London and Edinburgh roadshow
Structure of the 3 days:
•Day 1: bilateral meetings with pension asset owners, consultants and/or related clients as required
•Day 2: Lunch presentation with 22-25 invited guests and Dinner presentation with 22-25 invited guests *pension asset owners, consultants and/or related clients as required
•Day 3: Press engagements
Week in London and Europe
Structure of the 5-day week:
•Day 1 London: bilateral meetings with pension asset owners, consultants and/or related clients as required
•Day 2: Lunch presentation with 22-25 invited guests and Dinner presentation with 22-25 invited guests *pension asset owners, consultants and/or related clients as required
•Day 3 Frankfurt: bilateral meetings with pension asset owners etc with a dinner for 22-25 invited guests
•Day 4 Zurich: bilateral meetings with pension asset owners etc with a dinner for 22-25 invited guests
•Day 5 Paris: bilateral meetings with pension asset owners etc with a dinner for 22-25 invited guests
*NB: these cities are just a suggestion we will work to the asset managers requirements
Services provided
•AI/IC to provide all pre-marketing activities
•AI/IC to invite all attendees for the 3-day or 5-day activities
•AI/IC to provide all logistics for the 3-day or 5-day activities
•AI/IC to liaise and provide all on-site marketing materials (under instruction from the asset manager)
•AI/IC to provide all travel arrangements (paid for by the asset manager)
•AI/IC to set up all press meetings
•AI/IC to provide all research pre-meetings and post-meetings – this research is owned by the asset manager and could be used on their websites
•AI/IC require 6 months-notice to provide a superior service. We will spend time face to face, anywhere in China, with each asset manager to ascertain their absolute requirements. London will then start all the pre-marketing activities which include any preliminary research that may be required; ascertaining the priority list of pension asset owners and related clients; and then start to arrange bilateral meetings and invitations to the lunches and dinners.
•London will source all venues liaising with the asset manager to ensure they are happy with all logistical arrangements. This includes any travel arrangements that will be required.
•AI and IC will provide all the research to the asset managers during the process of arranging the roadshows and post roadshow.
•AI and IC will arrange all press cover.
